Police Officer
The City of Moscow Police Department is seeking qualified entry and lateral candidates for the position of police officer to serve the community. Qualified applicants must be 21 years old, have a high school diploma or equivalent and able to pass the Idaho POST physical agility standard. Candidates must embrace the concept of community policing and perform a variety of specialized duties as assigned.In addition, Lateral Police Officers will receive the following:Entry hourly rate is based on completed years of service as follows:Year for Year credit given to hires from a city, county, state, or federal police agency who have been sworn by a Police Academy either federal or state.Partial credit (50%) given to hires from detention, corrections, federal prison, state or federal probation and parole, or military police officer.40 hours of vacation leave will be credited at the time of hire and available for immediate use. Certifiable Lateral Officers qualify for a $10,000 hiring bonus incentive.
