Automotive Repair Mobile Technician

Job Overview A local calibration company is looking to fill the role of mobile repair technician in our company. The role will immediately involve crash repair mechanical replacement parts at our South Austin and San Marcos locations inside our body shop customers. Our expectation is that the repair needs will continue to expand to other customer locations across Austin. The technician will need to own their own tools for the job but will have the access to shop equipment needed to perform repair. There is not an expectation for the technician to own their own mobile vehicle but that can provide added value. This position is customer facing, so strong communication skills and professional appearance will be needed. Compensation will be flat rate with a minimum hours guarantee. A highly productive technician will benefit even further in this type of plan. Duties Various mechanical repairs common to body shop mechanical needs Wheel Alignments using shop equipment and software Accessing factory service procedures for estimate reporting Maintaining accurate records in shop management system Taking workflow instructions and assignments from management Qualifications ASE A4 Steering/Suspension certification or equivalent Proven alignment experience Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
