Construction Inspector, AviationAECOM is seeking a Construction Inspector to support aviation projects, including airport runways, taxiways, terminals, and related infrastructure located in the Hunt Valley, MD area. This position involves on-site inspection, documentation, and coordination to ensure construction work complies with project plans, specifications, and applicable aviation standards.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Perform daily field inspections on aviation construction projects (runways, taxiways, aprons, utilities)Monitor contractor activities to ensure compliance with contract documents, FAA standards, and safety requirementsReview construction submittals, shop drawings, and materials for conformance with project specificationsDocument daily work activities, quantities, and site conditions through reports, logs, and photo documentationTrack project progress against schedule and report delays or issues to project managementPerform field measurements, material testing, and verify workmanship qualityCoordinate with contractors, engineers, airport authorities, and stakeholders to resolve field issuesParticipate in meetings, including pre-construction, progress, and safety meetingsAssist with reviewing RFIs, change orders, and contractor pay quantitiesEnsure compliance with QA/QC procedures and safety regulations, including use of PPE on active construction sitesSets and manages project deadlines independentlySupports and trains new employees in the fieldConducts inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards, performance expectations, specifications, and applicable codesPerforms daily field inspections and maintains accurate recordsAssists with punch lists, testing, and commissioning activitiesMonitors and reports on quality assurance progressContributes to documentation for area and equipment turnoverMinimum Requirements:High School Diploma plus 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or educationValid U.S Driver's License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records reviewDue to the nature of the projects a US Citizenship is requiredPreferred Qualifications:Basic mathematical calculations and follow simple technical instructions experienceICC Level II Certification, NICET Level II certificationAdditional Information:Relocation assistance is not available for this positionSponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position
