The role blends hands-on software development and deployments in a Microsoft Azure environment, troubleshooting and resolving customer support tickets, and providing continuous timely support for operational issues.You will be working in an agile environment, with both onshore and offshore teammates, as well as with our leadership team, using iterative and cutting-edge development methods.How You Will Do ItThe Software Engineer will be responsible for supporting production applications and resolving issues, updating application code, executing database queries, and collaborating with networking, DBAs, cloud engineers, and hardware engineers to ensure stability of JCI solutions. In addition, the Software Engineer will establish and maintain DevOps deployment pipelines, cloud-based resources, develop applications using ReactJS and Spring Boot, and maintain RDBMS code bases.What We Look ForBachelor's degree or equivalent experience required, specializing in computer science, engineering, or related fieldExcellent troubleshooting skills on web and mobile applicationsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsMinimum 3+ years of experience creating and supporting web and mobile applicationsStrong experience with ReactJS, Java, and Spring Boot developmentStrong experience with SQL on RDBMS databasesStrong experience with Microsoft Azure application development, deployment and supportExperience with providing DevOps support in cloud environmentsExperience with executing, building, and deploying REST and SOAP servicesExperience using Jira and Azure DevOpsExperience with AI development tools, e.g. GitHub CopilotExperience with developing SaaS applicationsExperience and desire to work within a fast-paced, iterative development environmentThis is a hybrid role at our Boca Raton, Florida office.HIRING SALARY RANGE$85,200 - $107,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
