Your work supports uninterrupted operation of the Air Hammer Strippers by ensuring waste is removed, compacted, and properly sorted for recycling. This position is critical to overall workflow, safety, and housekeeping standards within the department.How You Will Impact Smurfit WestRockRemove paper waste from the floor while Air Hammer Strippers are operating.Keep all areas around Air Hammer Strippers free of debris and obstructions.Load compactors with paper waste and remove compressed bales when complete.Sort and separate different types of waste for recycling.Assist with moving pallets of printed materials throughout the department.Maintain general housekeeping and cleanliness of the work area.Perform other duties as needed to support department efficiency and safety.What You Need to SucceedReliable and dependable attendance.Willingness to work overtime as required, including during peak periods.Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment.What we offer:Corporate culture based on integrity, respect, accountability, and excellenceComprehensive training with numerous learning and development opportunitiesAn attractive salary reflecting skills, competencies, and potentialA career with a global packaging company where Sustainability, Safety, and Inclusion are business drivers and foundational elements of the daily workThe starting rate is $17, depending on your role, level, and location. The benefits for this role may include short-term bonus incentive, health, dental and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts or health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and paid sick leave as required by applicable state/local law, 10 days of paid vacation, and 11 days of paid holidays, subject to annual change.
