Solar Project Engineer

About the Role We’re seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our construction team for our site in Santa Paula, CA. The ideal candidate will need to be up for and willing to travel nation wide depending on site locations. This will be a temp-to-hire position where the probational period will be 6 months and then permanently get hired on. Responsibilities Field logs/sign in sheets (Ability to coordinate with workforce vendors, etc) Dispatching/Ordering materials (Field needs, materials, order parts, equipment, tools, etc) Cost tracking Invoice approval Monthly project inspections/JHA/AHA scanning for client Material receiving, tracking and BOL scanning 3WLA Schedule and schedules in Microsoft project Create sheets for field production crews when needed Material/quantity takeoffs QC document control (Track QC documents, Progress and delays) Create and update daily logs for various needs Change orders/T&M tracking Equipment tracker Cost to complete analysis Various trackers such as daily production, pile refusals, material damages, etc. Client interface: Needs to be able to communicate with the client and meet client needs Submittals/transmittals Ability to read/understand product data and able to research of product contractor intends to submit meets specific requirements RFIs: Ability to draft and send to Project Manager for review when issues arise on the project. RFIs need to be concise but clear for the designer to respond accordingly Autocad: Not required but some experience doing take offs and importing points would be helpful Material procurement: needs to be able to provide vendor material quantities and plan sets when needed SWPPP: Ability to complete reports by compiling reports and photos and provide to the owner/client Ability to plan and communicate accordingly with subcontractors to plan scope of work Requirements 3+ years of experience as a Project Engineer required OSHA30 and CPR/First Aid preferred but not requires Required to be onsite for 100% of the work hour Willing/Able to travel nationwide Depending on arrangement needs, reliable transportation to and from the job site What We Offer $45/hour - $50/hour Opportunity to be hired permanently after 6-month probational period Job Type: Full-time Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Referral program Vision insurance Work Location: In person
