Floating Teacher

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Floating Teacher to join our educational team. This role offers the opportunity to work across various classrooms and age groups, supporting our mission to provide high-quality early childhood education. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in developmentally appropriate practice, classroom management, and experience working with children in diverse settings. Flexibility, excellent communication skills, organization skills, and a passion for fostering child development are essential for success in this position. Responsibilities Provide instruction and support across multiple classrooms, adapting to different age groups and educational needs. Assist with lesson planning, curriculum development, and implementing educational activities aligned with developmental standards. Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive learning environment. Support children with special education needs and early intervention strategies. Engage children in literacy education, math, physical education, and other core subjects. Foster social-emotional development through child welfare practices and behavior management techniques. Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure seamless classroom transitions and consistent educational experiences. Maintain clear communication with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities. Support classroom management routines, including daily schedules, routines, and assessments such as standardized testing or tutoring sessions. Experience Prior experience working with young children is imperative. Knowledge of childhood development theories including Montessori methods is advantageous. Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management is important. Background in special education, early intervention, literacy education, or behavior management is highly desirable. Strong communication skills are necessary for effective collaboration with staff and families. Experience working with students who have diverse learning needs or developmental stages is a plus. Education Must be 18 years of age or older and have obtained a minimum of a High School Diploma. CDA, Associates in ECE, or Bachelors in an ECE related field is preferred.
