Cornell Cooperative Extension of Saratoga County https://ccesaratoga.org/ 4-H Animal Science Educator – Ballston Spa, NY CCE of Saratoga County’s 4-H Animal Science programs use hands-on, research-based learning to support positive youth development through education in dairy, livestock, poultry, small animals, and canines. The 4-H Animal Science Educator designs, delivers, and evaluates programming that builds life skills, leadership, and career awareness, while collaborating with CCE staff, volunteers, Cornell University, and community partners to meet the needs of Saratoga County youth. Required Qualifications · Master’s degree. · Experience relevant to the role of position. · Ability to meet the regular travel requirements associated with this position. A valid NYS driver's license with the ability to drive and driving record acceptable for agency insurance coverage are required. · Ability to work flexible hours, which may include evenings and/or weekends, as appropriate. · Ability to assess, develop, deliver, and evaluate programs. · Ability to identify and secure funding and grants. · Ability to communicate effectively with various audiences. · Proficiency with or ability to learn Microsoft Office suite and program-based software. · Work Environment – In addition to the Working Conditions; the work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Preferred Qualifications · Degree or coursework in Animal Science or related fields preferred. · Experience with Cooperative Extension or other similar educational organizations. Position Details This is a full-time, exempt position. Compensation paid in the range of $62,000 - $65,000 annually.
