We are united by a common mission: to deliver services and technology that fundamentally change how skilled workers and the businesses they serve get hard work done.Job DescriptionThe Instrument & Electrical Technician I / II is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and instrumentation systems supporting oil and gas production and processing operations. This role supports safe and efficient facility operations by ensuring equipment reliability, operational integrity, and compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards.The technician works closely with operations, engineering, maintenance, and project teams to support preventative maintenance, corrective repairs, troubleshooting activities, system upgrades, and new installations. This position may also support electrical isolation procedures, Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) activities, and Management of Change (MOC) processes.ResponsibilitiesMaintenance & TroubleshootingInstall, maintain, test, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and instrumentation systems associated with production and processing equipment.Support preventative and corrective maintenance programs to ensure safe and reliable operations.Troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, and control system issues to minimize downtime and improve equipment performance.Support maintenance of lighting systems, motors, air conditioning systems, and related electrical equipment.Monitor and inspect equipment performance and recommend repairs or upgrades as necessary.Operations & Technical SupportSupport operations, engineering, and project teams with electrical and instrumentation expertise.Review electrical and control specifications, work practices, and maintenance procedures.Assist with construction, installation, inspection, and commissioning of new electrical and control systems.Generate and support Management of Change (MOC) requests related to electrical and instrumentation systems.Provide technical support to maintenance teams during troubleshooting and repair activities.Safety & ComplianceFollow all safety, environmental, and operational procedures, standards, and regulations.Utilize Permit to Work Systems (PTWS) and support Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures.Maintain compliance with operational integrity management systems and maintenance standards.Participate in safety meetings, technical training, and continuous improvement initiatives.Promote safe work practices and environmental stewardship across all operations.Communication & TeamworkMaintain effective communication with operations, engineering, maintenance, and project teams.Support work prioritization and coordination with other work groups.Participate in technical meetings and ongoing skills development activities.Assist with documentation, reporting, and maintenance tracking.Provide mentorship and support to less experienced technicians when required.Act as backup support for lead technician responsibilities as needed.SkillsElectrical and instrumentation maintenanceTroubleshooting and diagnosticsIndustrial control systemsPreventative and corrective maintenanceElectrical isolation and Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO)Permit to Work Systems (PTWS)Instrumentation calibration and repairOil and gas facility operationsTechnical documentation and reportingProblem-solving and analytical skillsTeam collaboration and communicationMicrosoft Office and basic computer skillsSafety and environmental complianceManagement of Change (MOC) processesQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Associate degree or technical school training in Electrical Technology, Instrumentation, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred.Experience maintaining electrical and instrumentation systems in industrial processing plants, offshore facilities, or oil and gas operations preferred.Familiarity with operational regulations, safety standards, and integrity management systems.Understanding of Permit to Work Systems and Lock Out Tag Out procedures.Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.Strong safety-oriented mindset and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and effectively within team-based operational environments.Job DetailsPay: Level I - $60.55/hr Level II $77.85/hrSchedule: 5/2 40 hrs – On call weekend rotationLocation: Stanton, TX5/2 40 hrs – On call weekend rotation
