Legendary Entertainment is seeking a Social Media Manager to support the Social Media Director and help bring our film, television, comics, and brand storytelling to life across social platforms. This role will play a key part in day-to-day social execution, community engagement, and performance reporting while staying on the cutting edge of platform trends and audience behavior. The ideal candidate is deeply fluent in social culture, chronically online in the best way, and instinctively understands how to engage fans in a voice that feels authentic, timely, and alive. This role requires strong organizational skills, creative instincts, and the ability to collaborate across internal teams and external partners.
ResponsibilitiesSupport the Social Media Director in planning, scheduling, and publishing social content across Legendary's film, television, comics, and brand channels.
Manage day-to-day community engagement, monitoring conversations and responding in a voice that reflects Legendary's brand and the spirit of each property.
Generate regular analytics and performance reports, providing insights on content performance, audience engagement, and platform trends.
Support live events, premieres, and activations through real-time content capture, posting, and community interaction.
Track and share timely updates on platform changes, algorithm shifts, and emerging features with the broader team.
Explore new and emerging platforms, formats, and social behaviors to identify opportunities for innovation and audience growth.
Assist with managing content approvals and coordination with key internal stakeholders, including creative, marketing, publicity, and franchise teams.
Work with external vendors and partners as needed to support content creation and campaign execution.
RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred
3+ years of experience in social media, digital marketing, or community management, preferably within entertainment, media, or pop culturedriven brands.
Demonstrated experience supporting or managing social media campaigns across multiple platforms (Instagram, X, TikTok, YouTube, etc.).
Strong understanding of social analytics and reporting, with the ability to translate performance data into actionable insights.
Experience working with vendors, creators, or external partners is a plus.
Content creation experience, with working knowledge of creative tools such as Photoshop, Canva, Premiere, or similar software preferred.
Deep knowledge of social trends, memes, influencers, and online culture, with an instinctive understanding of how audiences engage.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Passion for Legendary's films, television, comics, and brand, with a genuine enthusiasm for genre storytelling and fandom.
A strong, authentic voice with the ability to engage audiences in a way that feels natural, responsive, and culturally fluent.

The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $72,000 to $90,000. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. Total rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. Legendary Entertainment also provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, employee wellness programs, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, year-round paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO).
The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, market demands and indicators, specific and unique skills or training, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City and California.
