Hospitalist – Internal or Family MedicineLocation: AdventHealth OrlandoSchedule: 7 days on 7 days off (6a-6p)Position Summary:We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Hospitalist (MD/DO) to join our inpatient care team. The Hospitalist will be responsible for managing the clinical care of adult patients admitted to our affiliated hospitals. The role includes providing general internal medicine consultations to support our surgical and specialty teams.Key Responsibilities:Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, including histories and physical examsDiagnose and actively manage acute and chronic medical conditionsProvide daily inpatient care and ensure continuity across shiftsOrder, interpret, and act on laboratory tests and diagnostic studiesPerform procedures such as suturing, wound care, incision and drainage, and splintingPrescribe appropriate medications and treatment plansCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in hospital roundsProvide specialty consultation support and coordinate care with referring providersFacilitate timely referrals to tertiary care facilities as neededSupport quality improvement initiatives and efficient resource utilizationQualifications:Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in Internal Medicine or Family MedicineBoard Certified or Board Eligible (IM or FM)Active Florida medical license (or ability to obtain)DEA license (eligible or active)Benefits Package:Competitive base salaryQuarterly quality bonus eligibility$2,500 annual CME allowanceMedical, dental, and vision insuranceLife insuranceShort-term and long-term disability401(k) retirement planSupportive team environment with opportunity for professional growth
