Server Assistant

The Server Assistant is responsible for resetting the dining room for service. This position ensures tables have complete place settings, directly assists servers with section maintenance throughout service and stocks the server assistant station adequately for efficiency.
Leo’s operates high volume meal periods Monday - Friday 11:30a-9p and Saturdays 4:30p-10p. We are open on Sundays for special occasions.

Responsibilities
Busses & resets tables throughout service, including large parties
Ensures complete & polished place settings at every table, every reset
Warmly greets & waters tables as they are seated, informs the guests their server will be with them momentarily
Supports servers by running food, clearing tables, replacing silverware as needed for the next course, boxing leftovers, removing trays from sections and cleaning any spillage or breakage in the dining room
Assists servers with polishing silverware & glassware
Observes tables & takes note of clean, dirty & occupied tables
Assists the host/hostess by helping to seat guests as they arrive
Assists with overall cleanliness of floors & chairs in the dining room
Checks the bathrooms for cleanliness & stock supplies every 30 minutes
Stocks table linens, silverware & glassware in the server assistant station
Removes full linen bags & replacing with empty linen bags
Sorts out stained table linens for credit
Always maintains a composed, professional & calm attitude
Qualifications/Skills:
2 Years of Restaurant experience preferred
Personable, positive & professional attitude
Detail & task oriented
Excellent organizational & communication skills
Ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment
Possess high sense of urgency
Teamwork driven with self-starter mindset
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
Must be able to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays
Must be able to be on feet for long periods of time
Ability to frequently reach, bend and stoop
Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 70 lbs.
