Substitute Teacher 2025-2026

TSPC Licensed Substitute Teacher. Any individual with a 4 year college degree may qualify.Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representatives of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.A valid and current Substitute Teacher license with TSPC.Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in education but not required.Strong English verbal and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal skillsAbility to lead and instruct students of all agesGeneral knowledge of several subjectsAbility to adapt plans to specific classroomsFlexibility and critical-thinking skillsPatiencePerforms the duties of the Certified Employee as per sub plans:Could include the following:Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Performs some or all of the following tasks.Follow lesson plans provided by the regular Teacher to create a cohesive and consistent learning experience for studentsManage the classroom effectively to encourage student participation, minimize distractions and maintain a positive learning environmentAdapt teaching methods to fit the needs of each individual studentSupervise students in and out of the classroom, including in the halls, on the playground and in the cafeteria if neededProvide in-class and at-home assignments based on the available lesson plan provided.
