About the Position:
GPTech is seeking a Business Development Consultant to support the GPTech Business Development Team in pursuing new business opportunities, with the Asian Development Bank (ADB). The Consultant will support the full lifecycle of business development, including opportunity identification, capture, and bid management. The individual will assist in the delivery of compliant and highly competitive submissions to ADB
Responsibilities:
Regular review and assessment of ADB CMS advertised project tenders that match qualifications and expertise of consulting firm.
Evaluates, identifies and recommends project opportunities that can be complemented and responded to, by the consultants’: (i) range of expertise, (ii) experience and (iii) other references.
Recommend directions, insights and comprehensive assistance in the interest of accessing:
development programs, (ii) engagement as consultants and (iii) growth of business and business network.
Personally, and regularly connect with points of contact by constant communication and visits, as mechanism for project interest monitoring and pursuit, (ii) to obtain updates or alerts on any major development upon occurrence of targeted/selected projects.
Contribute to the consultants’ identity enhancement by on-site attendance and participation to ADB events such as: business forums, seminars, and social invitations of the ADB community, for the active presence of the consulting firm.
Provide inputs in the formulation of marketing strategies/workplan for the consultants’ business growth and potential profitability.
Perform other mutually agreed official tasks as requested by the consultants/consulting firm.
Facilitates and coordinates official programmed activities of visiting consultants to the ADB.
(The Consultant will be responsible for alerting at least one month’s notice of pending travel to Manila for an official ADB visit)
The Consultant will set up initial groundwork, including appointment meetings for review and approval of the consultants.
The Consultant t will prepare and arrange ADB visit program.
The Consultant t will provide briefings on each person to be met.
The Consultant will provide briefings on project profiles for the meeting agenda.
The Consultant will join the meetings, carry out introductions and facilitate discussions.
Qualifications: :
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, international relations, marketing, or related field
A minimum of 5 years of business development experience in U.S. Government contracting; experience in international development preferred
Experience working with multilateral or bilateral donors, such as Asian Development Bank, USAID, and Millennium Challenge Corporation
Previous experience managing business development efforts in sustainable energy, infrastructure, or international development
Proven ability to track opportunities, lead capture plans, and manage overall business development pipelines
Strong communication and presentation skills
Fluency in English; fluency in other language a plus
