AI Solutions Intern

Job Description: Full-time internship based in Birmingham, AL with Fetch Freight. We are seeking a motivated intern to support technology projects, data analysis, and AI-driven initiatives that enhance team efficiency and drive smarter business decisions. This role includes assisting with backend development, building data pipelines, integrating AI tools, and contributing to process improvement efforts—all under the guidance of our Manager of Business Operations. You will receive hands-on training, mentorship, and collaborative support, ensuring you can grow your analytical, technical, and professional skills while making meaningful contributions in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.  Job Responsibilities: Responsibilities may evolve as you gain experience and contribute to new projects. Support full stack development, data pipelines, and AI integration projects Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design technology-driven solutions Participate in process improvement initiatives and document workflows Contribute to the development and maintenance of dashboards, reports, and other analytical tools Receive mentorship and guidance from the business analyst to ensure effective learning and project contribution Support testing and validation of AI tools and technology solutions Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to help optimize business operations Skills Preferred: Familiarity with JavaScript, Python, SQL, or other programming/data analysis tools Interest or experience in AI, machine learning, or automation projects, including familiarity with generative AI tools such as Claude Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting while managing independent projects Eagerness to learn, adapt, and apply new technologies and methodologies Strong communication skills for sharing insights and collaborating with mentors and teammates Comfort navigating technical challenges with guidance and support Fetch Freight is a fast-growing company based in Birmingham, Alabama.
