Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify speech, language, and swallowing disorders using established clinical protocols.
Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that address individual needs, focusing on early intervention when applicable.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, educators, and caregivers to coordinate patient care strategies.
Maintain detailed documentation of patient progress, treatment outcomes, and session notes in compliance with healthcare standards.
Educate patients and their families on therapy techniques, exercises, and strategies to support ongoing progress at home.
Stay current with advancements in speech therapy practices, physiology insights, medical terminology, and anatomy to ensure the highest quality care.
Skills
Proven experience working in school settings or pediatric environments with a focus on early intervention.
Strong knowledge of speech therapy techniques tailored for children and young patients.
Excellent patient assessment skills combined with the ability to interpret physiological and anatomical information accurately.
Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to speech-language pathology and healthcare documentation.
Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.

Pay: $48.80 - $58.77 per hour
