System Software Engineer

Job DescriptionCSI – a custom hardware/software engineering company headquartered in Richardson, TX, is seeking a talented Software Systems Modeler. As a Software Systems Modeler, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge aerospace projects and support the full lifecycle of system development, from proposal to deployment. This Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, system architects, and leadership, to ensure the successful implementation of system requirements. Your responsibilities will include:Managing program requirements throughout all phases, including proposal, design, implementation, test, and deployment.Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) of the program systems.Demonstrating effective communication and collaboration skills to work seamlessly with team members and stakeholders.Supporting and improving Systems Engineering and Modeling processes and procedures to optimize efficiency and quality.The selected candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and will be subject to government security investigations and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.Essential Job Functions:Documenting and decomposing system, subsystem, and component requirementsAllocating requirements to system elements and functionsAnalyzing requirements traceability and verificationReconciling requirements conflicts, ambiguities, or gapsModel-Based Systems Engineering including SysML and UML modeling of software systemsPreparing system design documents and presentationsCollaborating with engineering, system architects, and leadershipReviewing designs and documents to ensure requirements are satisfiedStrong understanding of Systems Engineering principles and requirements managementPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or related fieldEquivalent job experience will be considered in lieu of a degree3+ years with DoD experienceWorking experience with JAMA or DOORS requirements management softwareExperience with Cameo Systems ModelerExperience in developing and verifying software requirements and interface specificationsCurrent Secret or Top-Secret Security ClearanceMust be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain a Government Security ClearanceAbility to:Manage multiple concurrent priorities and meet critical deadlinesWork independently as well as part of a team; self-motivatedBe adaptive and proactiveShow initiative by seeking ways to improve processes and data analysisPerform other duties as requiredIf you are passionate about partnering in the development and deployment of engineering solutions and eager to contribute to innovative aerospace projects, we encourage you to apply for the position of Software Systems Engineer at Crescent Systems, Inc.
