Engineering Team Lead

General Job Description:This position is responsible for leading, mentoring, and design quality of a team of engineers responsible for the delivery of engineering services for HVAC, plumbing, process piping and other contract services offered by ACCO Engineered Systems.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesSupervision and development of a team of 3 or more engineersOversight of design engineers in one or more of ACCO's design build services, such as HVAC, Plumbing, Process Piping, Industrial, Refrigeration, or ControlsFlexibility to change disciplines or areas of focus within these specialties as determined by the needs of the companyParticipate with engineering management in mentoring and training of engineers within teamParticipate with engineering management in work load delegation and managementReview and quality control of team members workComplete project planningReview of code required energy compliance and LEED documentation performed by teamReview engineering calculations such as energy analysis, economic analysis, selection and layout of equipment, duct and piping system design performed by teamField engineering: assist with project execution, site surveys, trade coordination, scheduling, document management and problem solvingEffectively and professionally communicate with colleagues and project team membersManage time to meet project schedules and task deadlinesOther duties as assigned by ManagerPosition Requirements:BS in Engineering or Construction Management3+ years design experience, with 1 year in a role demonstrating leadership and mentoring capabilityProfessional Engineer license highly desirableStrong understanding of engineering fundamentals and constructabilityStrong familiarity with Building Codes and industry standardsStrong understanding of 2D and 3D modeling of HVAC, plumbing, and process piping systemsACCO Competencies:Proactivity / Initiative: Recognizes what needs to be done and accomplishes it in a manner appropriate for one's level/position and with minimal supervision.Perseverance: Shows the wherewithal to fight for difficult goals despite challenges and to bounce back from adversity.Insight: The ability to gather and make sense of information that suggests new possibilities.Engagement: Shows a knack for using emotion and logic to communicate a persuasive vision and connect with people.Teamwork: The ability to effectively work toward common goals with others by supporting, encouraging, and sharing information in an authentic and approachable manner.Big Picture: Understands and contributes to organizations' short- and long-term business strategy. Work hours are as established by the local manager and generally begin and end between 7:00 am to 8:00 am start and 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm end, with one-hour break for lunch and two rest breaks. Eight hours per day is required and other occasional overtime may be necessary per business needs.Competitive Wages:$44.83 to $57.87 per hour.
