This senior-level role is designed for a professional with 10+ years of experience who brings both hands-on operational expertise and the ability to influence long-term supply chain strategy.This individual will play a critical role in ensuring materials availability, inventory accuracy, and operational efficiency while leading teams, improving processes, and supporting large-scale infrastructure or utility-related projects.RequirementsKey ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team ManagementLead, supervise, and develop materials support personnel, ensuring high performance and accountabilityProvide coaching, mentoring, and day-to-day direction to warehouse and inventory staffFoster a culture of safety, collaboration, and operational excellenceMaterials Management & Inventory ControlOversee receiving, storage, inventory control, and distribution of materialsEnsure accurate tracking and documentation within inventory systemsMonitor stock levels, identify shortages, and coordinate replenishmentConduct cycle counts and audits to maintain inventory accuracyStrategic Planning & Process OptimizationIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce wasteAnalyze inventory trends and operational data to support decision-makingCollaborate with leadership on long-term materials and supply chain strategiesProcurement & Vendor CoordinationPartner with procurement teams and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materialsSupport vendor performance tracking and service level expectationsCompliance, Safety & Quality AssuranceEnsure compliance with company policies, OSHA standards, and safety proceduresMaintain audit readiness and enforce proper materials handling practicesCross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with engineering, construction, and logistics teamsServe as a subject matter expert for materials management processesRequired Qualifications10+ years of experience in materials management, warehouse operations, or supply chainProven leadership experience managing teams and operationsAbility to lift up to 75 poundsStrong understanding of inventory systems and logistics processesPreferred CertificationsCertified Forklift OperatorSupply chain or logistics certifications (APICS, CPSM, etc.)Leadership or management certificationsSkills & CompetenciesStrong leadership, communication, and organizational skillsAdvanced problem-solving and analytical abilitiesProficiency in inventory systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentWork EnvironmentWarehouse and operational setting with physical activityFast-paced, team-oriented environment supporting critical operations
