Research Data Program Manager

The Meta SuperIntelligence Lab is dedicated to developing AI-powered experiences for consumers, leveraging Meta's cutting-edge models. We are looking for a Research Data Program Manager to lead end-to-end human data annotation programs that support ML research and model development. This role partners closely with Researchers, Product, Engineering, Data operations, and external data vendors to translate research needs into high-quality datasets. Successful candidates will be technically fluent, highly organized, and experienced in building scalable processes to build high quality datasets. You will be the connective tissue across research pods driving consistent standards across annotation efforts.Minimum Qualifications5+ years of program management or relevant experience in data operations, ML/data labeling or research operationsDemonstrated experience working directly with technical stakeholders (ML Researchers/Engineers/Product) and translating needs into execution-ready requirementsExperience managing external partners/vendors, including agreed timelines and deliverables throughput planning, and performance managementEffective communication skills, including producing clear data specifications, quality assurance guidelines, and stakeholder updatesExperience managing and prioritizing multiple initiatives while operating under ambiguity and driving outcomesPreferred QualificationsFamiliarity with data types and workflows such as SFT, Reinforcement Learning, Evals, Multimodal, Coding, Reasoning, and SafetyExperience building or running quality programsExperience with annotation tooling and workflow systemsExposure to ML, Natural Language Processing (NLP), or RLProficient in SQL and Python for data analysis8+ years of program management experience at a technology companyBachelor's degreeDemonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologiesResponsibilitiesManage and execute end-to-end annotation lifecyclePartner with researcher and product teams to define data needs, create detailed instructions and define quality metricsCollaborate with our partner teams on vendor selectionWork with partner teams to implement and monitor data qualityBuild processes, structured programs and make recommendations on toolingBuild dashboards, analyze data and share insightsAbout MetaMeta builds technologies that help people connect, find communities, and grow businesses.
