*About Code Blue*
Code Blue is a low-voltage, audio-visual, and IT systems integrator with corporate headquarters in Connecticut, an office in Lubbock, Texas, and active operations across the United States. We design, deploy, and support the technology that multi-site retail, fitness, and commercial clients depend on — from new construction and remodels to enterprise-wide technology refreshes. Our reputation rests on disciplined execution in the field.
*About the Role*
The Project Manager coordinates the people and processes that bring our projects in on time, on budget, and to the standard our clients expect. You are the owner of everything touching a project’s organization and timeline: building detailed project plans, securing and allocating resources, and driving each engagement from kick-off through closeout.
This role sits at the intersection of client expectation and field execution, and it is accountable for keeping the two aligned in writing. When an obstacle originates on the Code Blue side, you rally the team and clear it. When a client-driven dependency slips and puts the schedule at risk, you draw on your client relationship and a well-documented project timeline to establish clear ownership of impacts outside our direct control.
Success in this role is built on communication, client relationship management, and team leadership more than on any single technical specialty. You will report to the Senior Project Manager and work closely with account management, procurement, and field operations.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Own the project kick-off process, establishing alignment among all stakeholders on scope, timelines, and dependencies.
* Develop, maintain, and drive a detailed project plan from initiation through closeout, and hold the team to it.
* Coordinate across functional teams to manage hardware orders, deliveries, and payments so that material availability never becomes the constraint.
* Schedule and manage internal and third-party technicians on site, confirming that conditions and materials are ready for efficient, cost-effective execution.
* Partner with account management to measure project scope against margin, and initiate change orders when scope moves.
* Manage client communication to sustain a high level of satisfaction while surfacing and addressing client-side risks to the schedule.
* Perform ongoing risk management: identify exposures early, escalate, and mitigate.
* Establish and maintain productive relationships with third-party vendors and subcontractors.
* Generate and maintain complete project documentation through every phase, securing documented client agreement at each milestone.
*Qualifications*
_*Required*_
* Two or more years managing projects in the franchised retail sector, focused on new construction and technology deployments.
* Superior client-facing communication skills, including the ability to deliver unwelcome messages clearly and hold clients accountable gracefully.
* Strong written and verbal communication, with documentation that stands up to later scrutiny.
* Excellent organizational skills and the proven ability to run multiple high-pressure projects concurrently across different clients.
* Solid educational background in a relevant discipline; Associate degree preferred.
* Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
* Ability and willingness to travel to project sites up to 40% of the time.
* Valid driver’s license.
_*Preferred*_
* One or more years of construction project management experience.
* PMP or PRINCE2 certification.
* Hands-on experience with Monday.com and Autotask, or comparable PM and PSA platforms.
* Experience supporting multi-site programs for national or regional franchise brands.
*Work Location & Schedule*
* Primarily based out of our Enfield, CT office, with work-from-home flexibility where applicable. Expect to be on project sites up to 40% of the time to verify execution quality.
* Eligible for remote hire in Connecticut, Florida, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas.
* Weekdays, with occasional weekend work driven by project and site-access schedules.
*Compensation & Benefits*
* Compensation: $65,000 – $85,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
* Health, dental, and vision insurance after 90 days.
* Paid time off and paid holidays.
