At this time, we are looking for a Test Apprentice to join our AmerCable Team.Responsibilities:Comply with all safety procedures and regulations; Identify and participate in resolution of workplace hazards; Support an interdependency safety culture. Support and seek opportunities to reduce environmental impacts through waste reductions, recycling and reduction of pollution of air, water, soil and resources. Is responsible to stage reels in test bayIs responsible to open cable ends Is responsible to prepare conductors for testingIs responsible to secure test ends of cable for transport to next operationIs responsible to keep a clean working environmentSupport testing by entering completed test data in the Electrical Test DatabaseIs responsible to deliver tested products to the next process of operationPerform other duties as assigned Comply with AmerCable 5S standards at all timesAdheres to all AmerCable Safety Standards and Safe Work PracticesFollows and abides by Mattr Code of Ethics and Business Conduct StandardsPreferred skills and qualifications:Ability to effectively communicate with other employees, both verbally and in writing, is requiredGood reading comprehension and basic math skills are requiredAbility to work extended hours as needed, including weekends and holidays, is required Must be able to work in a non-climate controlled environment Must be able to operate a forkliftMust pass AmerCable lift truck operator safety courseHigh school diploma or GED is requiredMust be able to operate a work station computerMust be able to operate a work station computerMust be able to physically move material, possibly up to 50 lbs AmerCable is an equal opportunity employer.
