Registered Respiratory Therapist Location: Craig, CO Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,445 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 6/8/2026 About the Position Job Title: Certified Respiratory Therapist Profession: Cardiopulmonary Specialty: Respiratory Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a hospital setting License: Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) Certifications: BLS certification, NRP certification Must-Have: - High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. - Graduate of an approved Respiratory Care Program. - CRT Credential according to guidelines set forth by the relevant accrediting body. Description: The Certified Respiratory Therapist is responsible for administering safe and competent respiratory care as ordered by the physician. Emphasis is placed on specialty areas such as Emergency, Neonatal, Pediatric, Geriatric, and Critical Care. Key responsibilities include: Monitoring mechanical ventilation. Administering medications. Conducting patient assessments. Understanding the ramifications of hemodynamic monitoring. Interpreting blood work results. Providing monitoring, teaching, and training. Essential functions include: Competent delivery of all Respiratory Care procedures as outlined in the department manual. Maintaining accurate and complete documentation of all procedures. Verifying physician's orders for Respiratory Care. Receiving and providing accurate and complete reports. Updating patient information to reflect the current clinical status. Attending and participating in department meetings and mandatory trainings. Keeping supervisors apprised of changes in workload and patient acuity. Entering daily services and charges into the department's system. Demonstrating excellent working knowledge of Respiratory Care instruments and equipment. Performing troubleshooting and appropriate problem resolution. Conducting effective airway management, including bag/mask ventilation. Assisting with intubations as needed. Using safe and appropriate suction techniques and artificial airways. Performing arterial blood gas draws. Initiating, maintaining, and monitoring ventilator patients. Interpreting flow volumes and pressure volume curves to initiate clinical changes. Completing required continuous training and education, including department-specific requirements. Complying with personal protective equipment requirements for protection against exposure to infectious materials. Performing patient charge reconciliation. Verifying accuracy and timely submission of time for payroll preparation. Demonstrating knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to patients served. Participating in organizational performance improvement activities. Following policies and procedures for infection control, safety, and risk management. This position requires a commitment to performance in accordance with organizational values and adherence to dress code policies. Candidates must maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to time management expectations. Engagement in continuous quality improvement activities is essential. The ability to assess patients across all age groups is vital, along with ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
