Job DescriptionCoordinate IM’s integrated safety-critical software approach for LTV, interfacing with software development leads and NASA to define, implement, document, test, and certify a bullet-proof software system for crewed and robotic lunar surface exploration.This role requires deep experience navigating NASA safety-critical software requirements for human spaceflight, including direct exposure to programs that have successfully streamlined and negotiated those requirements. The ideal candidate understands NASA’s safety framework and can engage effectively to avoid unnecessary renegotiation cycles. Experience working on or alongside commercial human spaceflight programs that have demonstrably reduced safety software burden is strongly preferred.ResponsibilitiesTop-Level requirement owner for NASA CBCS requirements (equivalent to SSP 50038)Primary software-team interface to NASA CBCS working group and NASA Safety PanelCoordinate and run weekly safety meetings, addressing all aspects of software safety across the vehicleOwn the document that defines IM’s safety-critical software approachDesignate key software functions for CBCS and coordinate the documentation of implementation and verification approaches for each function and each CBCS requirementOversee unit testing, flat sat testing, and integrated testing to verify CBCS requirementsQualificationsExperience leading software safety for complex projects in aerospace, defense, automotive, robotic, or related industriesExperience with control systems for self-driving automobiles, thermal, power, and RF communicationsExperience coordinating small teamsExperience with hardware-in-the-loop testingTools/Languages Git, Jira, Jama, Excel, WordEEOCIntuitive Machines is an Equal Opportunity employer.
