Location: Marquette, MI (Relocation Assistance Available)
Pay: $30.00 – $40.00/hour + Sign-On Bonus
Schedule: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM | Monday–Friday

What You'll Do
As a CNC Swiss-Lathe Setup Machinist , you'll play a key role in producing complex, high-precision medical components.
Set up, troubleshoot, and operate CNC Swiss lathes (sliding headstock)
Install tooling, set offsets, configure workholding, and manage high- and low-pressure coolant systems
Apply conventional Swiss machining methods to produce tight-tolerance parts
Make minor program adjustments when approved (feeds & speeds, deburring passes, sequence changes)
Perform and document in-process inspections using proper GDP practices
Assist coworkers with troubleshooting machining issues
Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T (ASME Y14.5)
Participate in pre-production meetings as required
Act as a mentor and technical resource for new CNC operators
Contribute positively to a team-focused, high-performance shop culture
What We're Looking For
5–10 years of CNC machining experience
2+ years of CNC Swiss-lathe setup experience (required)
Strong understanding of Swiss-type machining and tooling strategies
Ability to read and interpret complex prints and GD&T
Experience working in regulated manufacturing environments preferred
Familiarity with ISO 13485:2016 and 21 CFR Part 820 (preferred, not required)
Exposure to related processes is a plus
CNC milling & turning
Blast finishing
Laser marking
Cleaning & passivation
Anodization, heat treatment, forming
Education
High school diploma or equivalent (required)
Compensation & Benefits
Hourly Pay
$31–$35/hr (mid-level experience)
$36–$40/hr (senior-level Swiss setup experience)
