Sr Backend Engineer

Standardized Job DescriptionOptomi, in partnership with a platform-focused company, is looking for a Senior Engineer. Position Summary: This role involves supporting major projects driven by new and existing client demand. The Workflow Team is seeking senior engineers with 5-10 years of experience to handle increased workload and limited current staffing. The team focuses on building and maintaining a workflow system that supports school photography workflows from capture to delivery, including upload, retouching, processing, and printing workflows.What the right candidate will enjoy:Working on platform-focused projects rather than e-commerce.Being part of a team that handles the ingestion, organization, and movement of images with highly interactive frontend and backend components.What type of experience does the right candidate have:Strong backend fundamentals with Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.Experience in AWS, particularly with Lambda.Familiarity with microservices architecture and REST-based APIs.What the responsibilities are of the right candidate:Contributing to or designing system architecture, not just implementing features.Maintaining and enhancing the workflow system that supports school photography workflows.Collaborating with the team to handle client-driven project demands.
