This individual will act as a trusted advisor, educator, and change agent — translating AI capabilities into tangible business outcomes across underwriting, claims, policy administration, compliance, and customer experience. The ideal candidate understands both the insurance industry and the rapidly evolving AI landscape and can credibly engage stakeholders from the front line to the C-suite.Key responsibilitiesServe as the primary AI advocate and educator across business units including underwriting, claims, actuarial, compliance, and operationsTranslate complex AI and GenAI concepts into clear, compelling business language for non-technical insurance audiencesIdentify and prioritize high-value AI use cases across the insurance value chain — from risk scoring to FNOL automation to fraud detectionDevelop and deliver AI awareness sessions, executive briefings, workshops, and lunch-and-learns tailored to insurance functionsBuild and maintain an enterprise AI roadmap aligned with business strategy, regulatory requirements, and risk appetitePartner with technology, data science, actuarial, and compliance teams to ensure AI solutions are viable, explainable, and audit-readyChampion responsible and ethical AI use — model governance, bias awareness, regulatory compliance (NAIC, state DOI requirements)Evaluate AI vendor landscape relevant to insurance — insurtech platforms, predictive analytics, document intelligence, and conversational AIDrive change management and adoption for AI-powered tools and workflows across the organizationTrack, measure, and communicate ROI and business impact of AI initiatives to executive leadershipEducation:Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fieldMBA or Master's degree in a relevant disciplineAdvanced degree in Data Science, AI, or AnalyticsRequiredWorking knowledge of AI/ML concepts, GenAI, large language models (LLMs), and natural language processingFamiliarity with enterprise AI tools — Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Google GeminiUnderstanding of data governance, model explainability (XAI), and responsible AI principlesAbility to evaluate AI vendor solutions and build business cases for adoption
