Android Developer - Wallet

We are seeking an experienced Android Developer with strong expertise in digital wallet solutions, payment systems, location-based services, and proximity technologies. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing secure, scalable Android applications leveraging Google Wallet, Google Pay, Ultra-Wideband (UWB), NFC, BLE, and advanced location services.The Android Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining integrations with various digital wallet and payment solutions, as well as implementing location-based services and proximity technologies.ResponsibilitiesDigital Wallet & Payment Solutions Design, develop, and maintain integrations with Google Wallet, including loyalty cards, offers, transit passes, digital passes, and identity verification workflows.Implement Google Pay payment integrations, including payment tokenization, merchant validation, transaction processing, and secure payment handling.Integrate payment gateways and support end-to-end payment workflows, including transaction validation, reconciliation, and exception management.Ensure compliance with payment security standards, tokenization frameworks, and secure transaction processing best practices.Location-Based Services & Mapping Develop and maintain location-aware features using Google Maps SDK and Android Location Services APIs.Implement geofencing, background location tracking, and optimized location management using Fused Location Provider APIs.Build advanced mapping capabilities including custom map layers, marker clustering, route visualization, and real-time location experiences.Optimize location services for performance, battery efficiency, and user experience.Ultra-Wideband (UWB) Development Design and implement proximity-aware experiences using Android Nearby UWB APIs.Develop secure peer discovery, session establishment, and device-to-device communication workflows.Implement precise ranging capabilities including distance and angle measurements for location-sensitive applications.NFC Development Develop NFC-based solutions utilizing Host Card Emulation (HCE) and Reader/Writer modes.Implement NDEF message reading and writing, NFC tag interactions, and secure element integrations.Ensure secure NFC communication and compliance with industry standards.Android Application Development Develop high-quality Android applications using Kotlin and modern Android development practices.Implement MVVM, Clean Architecture, or similar scalable architectural patterns.Build reusable, modular, and maintainable application components.Apply best practices for accessibility, performance optimization, security, and error handling.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, QA, UX, and Backend Engineering.Platform Engineering & DevOps Integrate analytics, crash reporting, monitoring, and performance tracking solutions.Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment processes.Support application scalability, maintainability, and operational excellence. Qualifications5+ years of Android application development experience.Proven experience delivering production-grade wallet, payment, NFC, UWB, or location-based mobile applications.Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.Required SkillsStrong proficiency in Kotlin and Android SDK.Hands-on experience with Google Wallet and Google Pay integrations.Expertise in Android Location Services, Google Maps SDK, and geofencing.Experience with Android Nearby UWB APIs and proximity-based application development.Strong knowledge of NFC technologies including HCE, NDEF, Reader/Writer modes, and Secure Elements.Experience with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) development.Solid understanding of payment tokenization, PCI compliance, and secure payment architectures.Experience implementing MVVM, Clean Architecture, or similar design patterns.Familiarity with REST APIs, mobile security best practices, and secure authentication mechanisms.Experience with analytics platforms, crash reporting tools, and CI/CD environments.
