Software Engineer, Back-End (Pentest Platform)

For our client, we are seeking a Software Engineer, Back-End (Pentest Platform) to join the team of a leader in the Telecommunications & Hardware space.This role will focus on building and operating backend services that transform complex security testing data into reliable, actionable systems. You will work on real-time, event-driven infrastructure that supports high-volume data flows, operational rigor, and strong engineering practices. The position calls for deep collaboration with engineering peers to improve system reliability, data fidelity, and API quality across the platform.Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship availableCompensation: $199,750 – $235,000 annuallyResponsibilities Design, build, and operate real-time event-driven services for security testing data. Translate complex technical problems from concept to production with minimal guidance. Convert large datasets into coherent narratives over time. Migrate batch processes into streaming architectures without losing data fidelity. Tackle distributed systems challenges and decompose monolithic data storage. Establish high operational standards, including SLOs and incident response practices. Raise team technical standards through code reviews and clear API documentation.Qualifications 4+ years of software engineering experience or a similar role. Proficiency in Python and/or Go, with experience in large-scale codebases. Production experience with PostgreSQL, including schema design and query performance. Experience with AWS and container orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
