Production Operator

We are currently seeking a Production Print Assistant candidate to assist in the daily operation of our full-service digital print center located onsite at one of our flagship clients in Deerfield Beach, FL. The Production Print Assistant works in the print center and will assist the Lead Equipment Operator and Customer Service Lead in working with customers to create, schedule, and produce their print products. This is a part time position that works Monday thru Friday. Hours are generally 8a-1p. This is a great entry level opportunity for a student or someone looking to get their foot in the door with a great company. Responsibilities include: Operate copier, printer, finishing and bindery equipment. Schedule work assignments based on customer needs, workload and machine capabilities. Knowledge of paper media types, binding, and other options. Process PDF and other types of print ready files that are received via a variety of methods. Inspect finished work for overall quality and accuracy Make occasional deliveries to customers as needed. Customers are all located within the same business park as the print center. Assist customer service (when required) in answering phones, taking orders, assisting customers and other various duties Prepare packages for shipment with UPS, USPS, and Fed-Ex Scanning and processing of printed documents through OCR software Required Skills A thorough knowledge of materials and equipment utilized in the printing processes. Keen attention to detail. Ability to understand and communicate job-related information clearly and concisely. Ability to drive a vehicle Ability to lift up to 40 lbs Excellent customer service skills. Experience with the following a big plus: Konica Production Printers Fiery and Command Workstation Perfect/Coil/other Binding Wide format printing UV Coating Required Experience: High School Diploma/GED Thorough knowledge of materials and equipment utilized in copying and printing processes. Experience in a printing position utilizing production print and finishing equipment on a daily basis is preferred.
