TITLE: Bus DriverREPORTS TO: Transportation DirectorSUPERVISES: N/AEVALUATION: Performance to be evaluated by the transportation directorWe are seeking dynamic drivers to provide safe and efficient transportation so that students may enjoy the fullest possible advantage from the district's curriculum and extracurricular program.Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Valid CDL license and bus driver's permit to drive a bus Ability to lift 50 lbs Completed required trainings before interacting with studentsSafetyESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Compliant with all Federal and State laws and mandatory safety regulations for school busesChecks bus before each operation for mechanical defectsNotifies the transportation director in case of mechanical failure or latenessMaintains discipline on the bus and reports any undisciplined students to the proper authority.Enforces regulations against smoking and eating on the bus.Transports only authorized studentsDischarges students only at authorized stopsReports all accidents and completes required reportsCurrent on required trainingsOperations And CommunicationKeeps to assigned bus route & scheduleKeeps assigned bus cleanReports to work for assigned schedulesCommunicates to the transportation director if late or absent Partners with transportation director when necessary to address parentsExercises responsible leadership when on out-of-district school tripsPerforms other duties as assignedThis vacancy will remain open until filled.
