The position requires a working relationship with different functional areas to ensure an in depth understanding of the financial results.Position ResponsibilitiesThe candidate will demonstrate a solid understanding of GAAP accounting as well as data management and financial analysis skills. Ensure the production of timely, accurate and relevant financial reports to plant management in order to facilitate understanding and analysis of the business and business opportunities Ensure that accounting practices are in compliance with all relevant accounting standards, and company values and practices Seek/participate in continuous process improvements Assist in annual physical inventory process and related reconciliation Perform the monthly accounting close process and journal entry postings Support the senior GL and senior cost accountants with ad hoc analysis of results, budgets, and forecasts with focus on P&L performance.
