About Pareto.AI Pareto.AI is a human data platform connecting experienced professionals with leading AI researchers to help build safer, more reliable AI systems grounded in real-world expertise.Project Overview This project focuses on improving the ability of advanced AI systems to perform complex legal reasoning rooted in litigation and dispute resolution. We are building an AI legal assistant capable of analyzing case law, evaluating legal arguments, drafting litigation documents, and producing structured legal analysis reflective of professional courtroom and motion practice.Whom We're Looking For Experienced litigators and trial attorneys who regularly draft motions, briefs, and discovery materials or conduct legal research in support of active disputes. Candidates may come from a variety of litigation backgrounds including:Civil or commercial litigationCriminal defense or prosecutionEmployment or labor dispute litigationAdministrative hearings and agency proceedingsArbitration and dispute resolutionLegal aid or public interest litigationScope of Work Selected experts will design and evaluate realistic legal tasks reflecting professional litigation workflows. Examples include:Motion drafting and legal argument evaluation (motions to dismiss, summary judgment, motions in Limine)Case law research and synthesisWritten discovery response preparationDeposition summary preparationExpert witness report review and rebuttal preparationCase chronology and timeline developmentEvaluating AI-generated legal reasoning for accuracy and completenessGrading model outputs and providing structured feedbackMinimum RequirementsJuris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degreeActive or previously held license to practice lawExperience drafting or analyzing litigation documentsAbility to identify legal issues and risks in complex scenariosIdeal ExperienceLitigation practice involving motions, briefs, or discovery analysisDeposition preparation or witness examination experienceExperience producing legal memoranda or case strategy analysisFamiliarity with legal research tools (CourtListener, PACER, Westlaw, Lexis)Employment, labor, or administrative hearing experience a plusCompensation $125/hour for approved submissions. Additional ad-hoc expert tasks may also be offered at the same rate.Timeline and Commitment Ongoing initiative with flexible participation. 10-15 hours/week.
