This role is part of the After Sales and Service team and is responsible for providing remote PLC and electrical systems support to maintain system availability and performance.This position requires an engineer who is comfortable responding to technical support calls in a fast paced environment and capable of troubleshooting complex controls and electrical issues remotely. The role involves supporting systems used in warehouse and airport environments where conveyor technology and automation systems are similar in operation but may differ in hardware and configuration.The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting customers around the clock as part of a 24 hour, 7 day support structure. Occasional travel to customer sites may be required to assist with system troubleshooting, commissioning, or service activities.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Remote Technical SupportProvide remote troubleshooting and support for parcel handling automation systemsRespond to PLC and electrical system support calls from Amazon and other customersDiagnose and resolve controls related issues affecting conveyor and automation systemsGuide onsite maintenance teams through troubleshooting procedures when requiredDocument service activities, troubleshooting steps, and resolutionsControls and Electrical Systems SupportSupport PLC controlled conveyor and automation systems used in warehouse and airport environmentsAnalyze electrical schematics and control logic to identify and resolve system faultsAssist with system diagnostics, software troubleshooting, and control system recoveryProvide guidance on proper system operation and maintenance proceduresCustomer Support and CommunicationServe as a technical point of contact for customer support requestsMaintain clear and professional communication during troubleshooting activitiesProvide timely updates on system status and issue resolutionMaintain accurate service documentation and support recordsService and Project SupportSupport the After Sales team in activities related to service contracts, spare parts, and small projectsAssist with system upgrades, troubleshooting support, and engineering analysis when requiredParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives related to service and support operationsTravel and Field SupportTravel to customer sites when remote support cannot fully resolve issuesAssist with onsite troubleshooting, commissioning, or service activities when requiredSupport coordination between field technicians and remote engineering teamsREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:PLC troubleshooting and diagnosticsElectrical systems analysisConveyor and material handling systemsRemote technical supportCustomer communication and supportSystem diagnostics and fault resolutionDocumentation and service reporting organizational skillsEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor"s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related fieldExperience with PLC based automation systems in industrial or material handling environmentsStrong understanding of electrical systems used in warehouse automation or airport baggage handling systemsAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics and control logicExperience troubleshooting conveyor systems and automated material handling equipment preferredStrong problem solving and analytical skillsExcellent communication skills and ability to support customers remotelyWillingness to participate in a 24-hour support environmentAbility to travel occasionally for onsite supportWORK ENVIRONMENT:This position is primarily focused on remote support operations and may require participation in a rotating support schedule to provide continuous customer coverage.
