RAYUS Radiology is looking for a Chief MR Technologist to join our team. As a Chief MR Technologist, you will provide leadership and management to technologists in multiple modalities and/or across multiple centers, assuring professional standards and excellent customer service. Operates scanner to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Remains self-motivated to increase level of understanding and knowledge of the field, disease, and new procedures as they evolve. Maintains positive work relationships with radiologists.Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedureExplains and prepares patients for MRI procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, and positions patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately imagedPerforms routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal supervision or repeats scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedureAdjusts MRI scan parameters correctly and as needed, utilizing dose reduction techniques as appropriateMaintains positive attitude and working relationships with radiologists, referring clinicians and other associates and peersFollows physicians' orders precisely and conforms to safety regulations to protect yourself, your patients, and coworkersAccurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)Maintains an orderly and clean work area promoting good safety habits for patients and co-workersMaintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirementsMaintains equipment in good working order; cleans and disinfects equipment after each useEnsures compliance with all HIPAA guidelinesJob DetailsThis position is full-time, working day shifts.Essential Duties And Responsibilities(75-80%) Patient ImagingScreens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedureExplains and prepares patients for MRI procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, and positions patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately imagedPerforms routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal supervision or repeats scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedureAdjusts MRI scan parameters correctly and as needed, utilizing dose reduction techniques as appropriateMaintains positive attitude and working relationships with radiologists, referring clinicians and other associates and peersFollows physicians' orders precisely and conforms to safety regulations to protect yourself, your patients, and coworkersAccurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)Maintains an orderly and clean work area promoting good safety habits for patients and co-workersMaintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirementsMaintains equipment in good working order; cleans and disinfects equipment after each useEnsures compliance with all HIPAA guidelines(15-20%) Team ManagementCoordinates the training and onboarding of new associatesAssists in the hiring process for new associatesLeads regular team meetings and associate one-on-ones, ensuring cross-modality or cross-center communicationMonitors and approves timecardsInitiates and participates in performance reviews, development, and performance management of associatesManages associate schedules to provide for planned time off, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and adequate coverageEvaluates workflow and implements process improvements for the teamEnsures team has knowledge of company and department policies and corresponding procedures are in placeSupports associates ensuring highest level of patient satisfactionLeads special projects and/or committees, as assignedDevelops methods for measuring and monitoring team and department performance(5%) Completes other tasks as assignedRemote PositionNoStatusFull-timeRequirementsRequired:ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing5+ years imaging experience, with demonstrated ability to serve as a resource to others and identify and implement process improvement opportunitiesGraduate of the American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicableCurrent Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificationMust have training and experience sufficient to competently perform advanced MRI procedures independently with highest qualityCertification in imaging specialtyPreferred:BilingualWorks in multiple modalities and/or has multi-modality certificationsPrior supervisory or leadership experienceRAYUS is committed to delivering clinical excellence in communities across the U.S., driven by our passion for and superior service to referring providers and patients.
