Math Instructional Coach- WCMS
Position Summary Carter County Schools is seeking a highly motivated and collaborative instructional leader to serve as a Middle School Mathematics Achievement Fund (MAF) Coach. This position will support the implementation of high-quality mathematics instruction aligned to Kentucky Academic Standards and the district's adopted HQIR resources. The MAF Coach will work closely with teachers, principals, and district leadership to improve mathematics achievement for all students in grades 6-8. Primary ResponsibilitiesProvide instructional coaching and support for middle school mathematics teachersFacilitate unit and lesson internalization aligned to HQIR instructional materialsSupport implementation of evidence-based mathematics instructional practicesAssist with data analysis, progress monitoring, and intervention planningConduct classroom observations and provide feedback through coaching cyclesCollaborate with district and school leadership teams to strengthen mathematics instructionLead and facilitate professional learning opportunities for teachersSupport MTSS implementation in mathematicsAssist with curriculum alignment and assessment reviewMaintain documentation and reporting requirements associated with the MAF grant QualificationsValid Kentucky teaching certificateMinimum of three (3) years successful teaching experience preferredStrong background in middle school mathematics instructionKnowledge of Kentucky Academic Standards and HQIR implementationExperience with instructional coaching, professional learning, or curriculum leadership preferredStrong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Terms of Employment187-day positionSalary based on district certified salary scheduleGrant-funded position contingent upon continued MAF funding Reports To Director of Teaching & Learning and/or assigned administrator
