Master Mechanic Opportunities – Diesel & Hydraulic (Los Angeles Area)A well-established equipment and truck solutions provider is actively hiring two senior-level technicians to join its growing service team in the Los Angeles area:Diesel Master Mechanic (Chassis Focus)Hydraulic Truck Master Mechanic (Truck-Mounted Equipment Focus)Both roles are hands-on, high-impact positions within a busy shop environment supporting a large fleet of specialized trucks and equipment. These positions are ideal for experienced technicians who enjoy complex diagnostics, take pride in their work, and want to be recognized as go-to experts in their field.Shared Responsibilities (Both Roles)Diagnose and repair complex mechanical or system-related issuesLead troubleshooting efforts on difficult or high-level repair jobsSupport and guide other technicians when neededPerform inspections and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standardsWork closely with service advisors on estimates, timelines, and job scopeMaintain accurate documentation of work performedStay current with evolving tools, technologies, and repair methodsContribute to a high-performing, team-oriented shop environmentShared Qualifications7–10+ years of experience in heavy equipment, truck, or related service environmentsStrong diagnostic and problem-solving capabilitiesAbility to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and technical documentationExperience working with advanced diagnostic tools and softwareStrong communication skills and ability to collaborate with team membersValid driver’s license required (CDL preferred)Must provide own toolsAbility to work in a fast-paced, high-volume shop environmentDiesel Master Mechanic (Chassis Focus)ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and repair diesel engines, including fuel systems, turbos, and emissions componentsTroubleshoot transmissions, differentials, and full drivetrain systemsDiagnose and repair electrical systems, wiring, and multiplex networksPerform brake system repairs including ABS and air brake systemsRepair suspension, steering, and air ride systemsHandle complex chassis-related diagnostics across multiple truck brandsQualificationsExtensive experience with heavy-duty diesel truck systems (Freightliner, International, Ford, etc.)Proficiency with OEM diagnostic tools (Cummins INSITE, DiagnosticLink, PACCAR DAVIE, etc.)ASE certifications (T-Series) preferredExperience with DOT inspections and complianceHydraulic Truck Master Mechanic (Truck Equipment Focus)ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and repair hydraulic systems on truck-mounted equipmentTroubleshoot pumps, motors, valves, cylinders, and control systemsPerform flow testing, pressure diagnostics, and system performance analysisRepair PTO-driven hydraulic systems and electrohydraulic controlsService cranes, aerial lifts, booms, and stabilizer systemsDesign and modify hydraulic circuits and perform custom system workQualificationsDeep expertise in mobile hydraulic systems and fluid power principlesExperience with cranes, aerial lifts, and other hydraulic equipmentAbility to read and create hydraulic schematicsExperience with hydraulic diagnostics tools (flow meters, pressure gauges, etc.)Hydraulic certifications or manufacturer certifications preferred
