Paralegal

Messner Reeves LLP, a full-service national law firm, seeks a highly qualified Litigation Paralegal to join its fast-paced, complex litigation team in California.Position Overview:This position requires a high degree of interaction with firm partners, associates, and clients. Candidates should have good judgment and impeccable professionalism.Requirements:5+ years of paralegal experience.Must be well-versed in both federal and state court procedures.Communicate with team, witnesses, and opposing counsel to ensure complete information is gathered and organized in a timely fashion.Experience handling multiple attorneys with full caseloads.Utilize electronic format to organize and index medical records and prepare detailed documents and other party records chronologies, identifying and obtaining missing records or materials.Experience in legal document preparation, particularly propounding and responding to discovery and preparing initial, expert, and supplemental disclosures.Experience tracking and recording time using Prolaw or similar legal billing software.Use communication, experience, docketed deadlines, and knowledge of civil procedure rules as a guide.Must possess strong attention to detail, be highly organized, and communicate effectively.Paralegal Certificate.Must be located in California.At Messner Reeves LLP, we offer a great work atmosphere, a competitive compensation package, and comprehensive benefits.
