This role will strengthen financial accuracy, improve operational efficiency, and ensure the integrity of key financial processes that support the business.Why This Role MattersThis position plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability and effectiveness of Nightwing's financial operations. By improving invoice resolution, strengthening internal controls, and enhancing coordination across Finance and Supply Chain functions, this role directly supports accurate financial reporting, program execution, and effective cash management across the enterprise.Scope of the RoleThe Procure-to-Pay Operations Lead serves as the enterprise focal point for monitoring process performance, resolving complex invoice and payment issues, and driving continuous improvement across procure-to-pay operations.The role partners closely with Finance, Supply Chain, Timekeeping, Accounts Payable, and Treasury teams to ensure efficient end-to-end processing and accurate expense recognition. Key responsibilities include:Identify and resolve invoice and payment discrepancies across the enterpriseMonitor procure-to-pay process performance and address operational bottlenecksReview and approve subcontractor invoices processed in CostpointImplement procedures to support timely and accurate expense recognition, including period-end accrualsDrive operational improvements that enhance internal controls, efficiency, and financial transparencyAnalyze financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvementWhat Success Looks LikeThe successful candidate will establish a strong understanding of Nightwing's procure-to-pay operations and develop effective working relationships across Finance, Supply Chain, Timekeeping, Accounts Payable, and Treasury. By proactively identifying and addressing invoice and payment discrepancies, the individual will reduce processing delays and improve the overall reliability of the payment cycle.Success in this role will also involve improving visibility into procure-to-pay performance through enhanced monitoring and reporting, enabling leadership to more effectively identify risks and operational bottlenecks. Through close collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders, the candidate will implement practical process improvements and internal controls that strengthen coordination, improve efficiency, and support the timely and accurate recognition of expenses across the enterprise.What We're Looking ForThe ideal candidate brings deep experience in procure-to-pay operations, financial reporting, and government contracting environments.
