Production Superintendent - 2nd Shift
Reporting to the Production Manager, manage all production related processes, supervision of assigned supervisory staff and provide guidance for both departmental and individual employee development.Actively manage plant operations on 2nd shift at the Main Plant and CAD locations.Production: Electrical, Paint, Road Test, Final Verification, and CADSupport Functions: Quality and MaterialsAlong with the Production Supervisors, develop daily plans to achieve the production schedule per production unit based on assigned manning vs. standard hours.Effectively manage company resources to maximize achievement of company and plant goals in all areas (financial, customer service, innovation, learning) while maintaining strong working relationships.Actively work to develop team for the purpose of enhancing their effectiveness in daily operations as well as to prepare them for future opportunities within the organization.Administer company policies and procedures fairly and equitably to maintain standards established for safety, quality, and overall company satisfaction.Champion LEAN concept implementation and sustainability to include 5S, A3, PDCA, error proofing, Poka-yoke, etc.Lead process improvement activities to reduce cost, increase safety, and improve product quality.Prepare and administer evaluations for team members.Consistently practice and enforce safe work habits and drive those habits throughout the organization.Other duties as assigned.New Flyer is an EEO/AA/Female/Minority/Disabled/Vets Employer.Accommodations are available at all stages of the recruitment process, at the candidates’ request.RequirementsBachelor’s degree from a four-year college/university and/or 1-2 years related experience and/or training, equivalent combination of education and experience4-5 years previous supervisory experienceMust have good people and communication skills (verbal and written)Must be able to monitor and control many different tasksMust have mid-level computer skillsMust have elementary mechanical aptitude, electrical knowledge and be able to read blueprints/schematicsMust be able to stand for long periods of timeMust be able to climb on and around equipmentMust be able to bend and stoop from the waist downBenefitsCompetitive wagesImmediate benefit eligibilityPaid holidays and vacation401K with generous company matchOn-the-job training provided in a continuous learning environmentAdvancement opportunities with a growing companyApart of a team who is leading the world’s electrification of mass mobilityTake a look at the exciting work you can be a part of!
