Cart Maintenance Technician Associate

Job Description Location: Birmingham, AL (Truck based at 1523 Midfield Industrial Blvd., AL)Jimco Maintenance, Inc. is a leading provider of maintenance and repair services across the Southeast. We are seeking a full-time Cart/Equipment Maintenance Technician/Truck Leader to service supermarket facilities at night throughout Columbus, Montgomery, Dothan and Huntsville.This is a hands-on, field-based role that combines mechanical service work with responsibility for a dedicated service truck and assigned territory. The position operates as a two-person crew and requires strong mechanical aptitude, reliability, and the ability to work independently in outdoor retail environments.Watch a short video overview of this role: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQAQcCrQuuERequirementsPressure cleaning, minor MIG welding, caster & wheel change, plus other miscellaneous repairs of rolling grocery store equipment (shopping carts, floats, bakery racks, etc.)Mechanically inclined with experience performing preventive maintenance and minor repairs on industrial or retail equipmentAbility to troubleshoot issues and complete field-ready repairsComfortable working at night, and outdoors in varying weather conditionsAbility to climb, stoop, bend, and lift up to 50 lbsStrong organizational, time-management, and route-planning skillsEffective communicator; able to work independently while coordinating with the corporate officeKnowledge of applicable safety regulations and DOT requirementsValid driver's license with a clean driving record (5-year MVR review)Reliable, self-motivated, and capable of operating as a two-person crewWilling and able to travel throughout North/South Alabama and West GeorgiaMust reside within 25 miles of Birmingham, AL (truck parking location)Smartphone required for data and voice communicationMust pass DOT physical and drug screening, background check, and federal Social Security verificationAccurately record all time worked, including production, vehicle maintenance, administrative tasks, and reactive work ordersBenefitsCompensation StructureStarting pay of $900 per week is based on completing scheduled service locations per weekAdditional pay is available for completing mandatory reactive work orders and supporting backlog catch-upOpportunities for increased earnings are tied directly to productivity, reliability, and operational needs401(k) retirement plan with company matchingMedical, dental, and vision insuranceLife insurance coveragePaid time off (PTO)
