Job Description Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years OR RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.An experienced Neurosurgery Registered Nurse is needed to support a Level 1 Trauma Centers fast-paced Operating Room. This travel opportunity is based in Biddeford, ME, with shifts located at a renowned medical center in Portland. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience circulating complex neurosurgery cases, including aneurysms, AVMs, complex craniotomies with navigation, and complex spine surgeries using advanced imaging such as Airo-CT and O-arm. Flexibility is essential given the dynamic environment and the requirement to participate in neuro call 50-150 hours over an 8-week period.LocationLocated near Portland, Maine, the area offers a charming coastal atmosphere with access to outdoor recreation, cultural activities, and a welcoming community. This location is an excellent opportunity to experience the scenic beauty and vibrant local life of southern Maine.Key Responsibilities:Circulate during complex neurosurgical procedures using robotic and navigation technologiesSupport the surgical team in a Level 1 Trauma Operating Room environmentParticipate in neuro call shifts as assigned (overnight call 11p-7a)Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and quality careMaintain unit standards and comply with hospital protocolsQualifications and Experience:Current RN license with a minimum of 2 years OR nursing experienceProven expertise in circulating complex neurosurgical and spine casesLevel 1 trauma center experience requiredCNOR certification preferredComfortable utilizing advanced surgical equipment including Storz, Stryker, Olympus, and Intuitive Robot systemsFamiliarity with Epic EMR system a plusSchedule:Day shifts: 7:00 AM 7:00 PMWeekend coverage on a 1:4 rotation (12-hour shifts)Neuro call per specialty team schedulingThis travel opportunity offers professional challenge and growth within a state-of-the-art surgical environment.
