Grade level is yet to be determined.Requirements:State of Connecticut Elementary Education Teaching CertificateDemonstrated excellence in teachingMust be flexible and willing to learn/engage in district professional development initiatives and sessionsWilling to engage with the Orange Adult Learning Plan to become familiar with past/current learningEffective communicatorTechnology literateExcellent classroom managementSupport of district initiativesQualifications:Experience as an elementary classroom teacher (preferred)Experience with current evidence/research-based practices in Reading, Writing, Mathematics, Social Emotional Learning, and ScienceUnderstanding/experience with the Science of Reading (preferred)Experience with Early Reading Success (preferred)In-depth knowledge of Common Core State Standards for K-6 grade levelsFamiliarity with NGSSFamiliarity with RULER (preferred)Open to feedback and learning opportunitiesExcellent interpersonal skillsResponsibilities:Engage students in learningDifferentiate instructionDiagnose student challenges and prescribe precise instruction/interventionMonitor student progressMaintain excellent recordsCreate conditions for student successEngage in professional learning to improve student well-being and achievementWork collaboratively with colleaguesMaintain curriculum operational data demonstrated in Teacher MapsAttend SRBI and Data Team Meetings prepared with accurate data, entered in data sheets prior to meetingsMaintain student confidentialityTerm/Duration: To start August 26, 2026.Salary: Determined by Orange Teachers' League contractApplication Process:To complete an online application.
