Housekeeper / Laundry Aide - 5830 US:CA:Pasadena | Housekeeping & Laundry | Full Time, Hourly, 36+ hours a week19.00 - 20.00 USD per hourDescription Villa Gardens Retirement CommunityPay Range: $19.00-$20.00FT: Monday-Friday: 7:30a-4p and some SaturdaysSummary:Under the direction of the Housekeeping Supervisor and / or Assistant Supervisor performs housekeeping and cleaning duties within established guidelines in assigned areas. Is responsible for the neat and clean appearance of resident's rooms and common areas by performing the following duties.Detailed responsibilities:Provides quality Customer Service efficiently to residents, families, co-workers and vendors in a manner to ensure satisfactionDusts furniture; washes walls, ceilings and woodwork, windows, door panels and sillsVacuums rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, draperies and hallways Rearranges small furniture if neededMay sweep, scrub and wax floorsEmpties wastebaskets and empties and cleans ashtraysTransports trash and waste to disposal areaCleans lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, elevators, elevator landings, stairways and hallways as scheduledReports when equipment, structures, or furniture needs repair Immediately completes a maintenance or housekeeping order if necessaryAssists with laundry and linens as assignedPerform final cleanings for new residents as neededStock and maintain supply rooms as neededPerform all stages of linen processing, to include collecting, transporting, sorting, weighing, loading and unloading (washers, dryers, and chutes), ironing, folding, storing and deliveringMaintain cleanliness of laundry machinery and laundry areaPerforms emergency housekeeping when accidents or special needs ariseFollows department safety standards, practice body mechanic techniques and participate in campus-wide safety programsFollows highest standards of cleanliness Follows all federal, state and corporate policies, health codes and guidelinesPerforms all duties in a safe and efficient manner Wears PPE/safety equipment as required for the job Reports any safety hazards and/or accidents to supervisorAttends all mandatory in-service meetings Complies with all department and facilities policies and proceduresCredentials:Education with Equivalent Qualifications: Essential: High School diploma or GEDExperience with Equivalent Qualifications:Compensation Disclaimer: The actual compensation offered will depend on a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, experience, training, education, and licensure/certifications (as applicable).Front Porch is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
