*\*Temp to Hire with the opportunity of permanent placement within 90 days.* The Assembler I performs basic assembly operations involving routine and repetitive tasks and is responsible for producing accurate and quality products. *Primary Duties and Responsibilities: (include, but not limited to):* * Maintain a safe work environment by executing physical tasks in a consistently safe manner by using proper lifting techniques and following safe work procedures at all times * Inspect parts for defects * Position and align parts in specified relationship to each other in fixtures or other holding devices, using hand tools such as screw drivers and/or pliers * Properly use and care for all equipment and tools as well as minor preventive maintenance on assigned tasks * Achieve and maintain production levels in 90% of the operations in the assigned product team – at or above production expectations – for each particular task * Participate in the inventory counting process * Complete documentation requirements in a legible and accurate manner * Recognize and maintain proper stock levels in the assigned product team * Achieve and maintain DCI’s levels of quality, cleanliness and organization * Perform duties as assigned by team lead and management to support operational performance *Educational and Skill Requirements:*. * Ability to work under pressure and maintain a pleasant demeanor * Effectively work independently as well as in a team environment * Demonstrated ability to follow written and verbal instructions *Physical Requirements:* * Must be able to stand for long periods of time at an assembly workstation (65-100%) * Lifting: 1-5 lbs. frequently * Frequent, repetitive use of arms, wrists, hands, grasping/squeezing * Occasional: walking (level surface), reaching at or above shoulder and below shoulder * Carrying of 1-5 lbs. occasionally * Pushing/pulling force to be exerted: 1-10 lbs., distance of 100 ft max on concrete surface * Requires manual dexterity for light mechanical work * Requires good vision and hearing *Equipment Used:* * Small hand tools, scales, computers, hand presses and drill presses * Personal protective equipment such as safety glasses *Work Schedule:* * Ability to work flexible hours, with additional time as needed. * Less than 1% unplanned absenteeism is expected. * No more than 40 unexcused hours per calendar year Pay: From $17.50 per hour Application Question(s): * This position requires employees to be at least 18 years of age.
