Staff Payroll and Employee Benefits Accountant - Kenya Nairobi Prialto Africa currently has a position open for a staff accountant. This position will report to Prialto's Corporate Controller based in Portland Oregon, USA. This is a remote position although will require occasional visits to the Nairobi office, and candidates are required to work US pacific time zone 8 – 5 p.m. Candidates should have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience working as an accountant supporting bookeeping, HR and payroll processes. The Staff Accountants will work in an administrative function alongside HR, bookkeeping, Payroll and Client Services departments to ensure all KE employees receive excellent support in personnel, payroll and benefits matters. The successful candidate will also manage center finance including budget, expenses, petty cash and asset inventory. Candidates applying must have the following skills Strong organizational and communication skills; keen attention to details Experience with preparing employee files and timekeeping for accurate payroll Ability to work well with others in a professional and confidential environment An understanding of financial statements and basic bookkeeping Track and maintain lists of company assets, particularly computers Track and report to government agencies for employee benefits Be self-motivating and able to manage and prioritize tasks while being consistent and dependable.
