Machine Operator I

Job Description:This entry-level position is in a machine shop environment and requires a team-oriented individual to assist in setting up and operating CNC band saw and radial saw.You will also support various processes to produce parts for the aerospace industry.Responsibilities:Maintain proper condition of measuring instrumentsMaintain proper cutting conditions on machining centersMeet or exceed required output hoursAbility to learn how to set equipment/machinery for production.Monitors operation of machinery or equipmentDetermines whether materials or products meet standardsPerforms other duties as required and available for overtime as necessary.Requirements:Ability to read and understand basic work instructions for product fabricationGeneral knowledge, skills, and understanding with hand and power tools to include rotary tooling, sanding devices, manual deburring tools, wrenches, etc.Strong interpersonal skills.Ability to learn and utilize inspection tools to include calipers, tape measures, pin gauges etc.Basic mechanical knowledge.Basic PC skills for data entry, timecard and production time entriesPrior experience in machine shop environments preferred.Education:GEDWe offer attractive, competitive compensation and benefits including, medical, dental, 401k, short-term disability, AD&D, tuition reimbursement, and more.
