Assistant Supervisor (Cleaning Services)Schedule: Thursday-Sunday4 PM to 12 AM start and end times may vary but will always be evenings$23.00 to $24.00 HourlyPosition OverviewAction Cleaning Services is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Assistant Supervisor to support daily operations while maintaining high-quality janitorial services across multiple client sites. This working supervisor role combines leadership responsibilities with hands-on cleaning duties.The Assistant Supervisor supports quality control, employee training, inventory management, and operational coordination, while also performing janitorial work as needed. This position is ideal for someone who leads by example, communicates effectively, and takes pride in maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming environments.Key ResponsibilitiesAssistant Supervisor DutiesAssist with quality control inspections to ensure cleaning standards and contractual requirements are consistently met Support training of janitorial staff on scopes of work, cleaning procedures, safety practices, and company expectations Monitor and track cleaning supply inventory at client sites and headquarters Report supply and equipment needs to Field and Operations Supervisors Maintain accurate inventory records and internal tracking worksheets Step in to perform higher-level or coverage cleaning during staff absences or shortages Deliver cleaning supplies, consumables, and equipment to client locations Communicate maintenance issues, service concerns, or client feedback to the Operations team Assist with lockouts and respond to general inquiries from janitorial staff Perform additional duties as assigned Janitorial DutiesClean and restock restrooms Sweep, mop, vacuum, and scrub floors Spot-clean carpets Dust and clean furniture, baseboards, walls, fixtures, and equipment Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces Collect and dispose of trash and recycling Clear debris from indoor and outdoor areas Safely operate cleaning equipment and machinery Mix and use cleaning chemicals according to safety guidelines Move furniture, supplies, and equipment as needed Follow all safety procedures and use appropriate PPE Minimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED Strong verbal and written communication skills Comfortable using smartphones and mobile applications Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset Ability to pass a criminal background check Ability to regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds Be 21 years of age or older Hold a Driver's License for 3 consecutive yearsHave a good driving recordSkills & CompetenciesAbility to follow written and verbal instructions Strong organizational and time-management skills Customer service–focused with strong interpersonal skills Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing needs Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-oriented in challenging situations Work Environment & Physical RequirementsWork may occur indoors, outdoors, or in company vehicles Regular standing, walking, bending, and lifting required Occasional climbing, kneeling, crouching, or balancing Position requires physical activity consistent with janitorial work Why Join Action Cleaning ServicesSupportive leadership and team-oriented environment Opportunity to develop supervisory and operational experience Meaningful role supporting essential services in the community Powered by ExactHire: 194258
