Employment Specialist- FT/PT
Employment Specialist: Full-Time and Part-Time Positions Available
BCRC is seeking dedicated and compassionate candidates to provide employment, life skills and person-centered support to individuals with intellectual, developmental and physical disabilities. The primary goal of this role is to empower participants to achieve greater independence in their daily lives, foster meaningful social connections, and successfully transition into or maintain integrated employment.
Schedule:
Typically daylight hours- 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM
FT-5 days/wk; PT 4 days/wk
Key Responsibilities:
Provide support for essential life skills, including community engagement, meal planning, financial literacy, and use of public transportation.
Provide support in identifying career aspirations, conducting job searches, and preparation for applying for jobs and interview participation.
Provide job coaching to help individuals master tasks, understand workplace culture, and meet employer expectations.
Use BCRC’s software program to document and maintain accurate records of participant progress and goal achievement.
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or GED required
Valid Driver’s License
Experience: Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred but not required. Training will be provided.
