Interim Controller (3–6 Months) PE-Backed Manufacturing | Immediate Need Not your typical “keep the seat warm” interim role. This is a hands-on Controller opportunity with a PE-backed manufacturer going through a post-acquisition transition. The team needs someone who can step in quickly, bring structure to the accounting function, and help stabilize things during a critical period. If you enjoy rolling up your sleeves, fixing what’s broken, and making an impact quickly… this is that kind of project. What you’ll be walking into Recently acquired business going through integration Established accounting team in place (you won’t be starting from scratch) Need for stronger processes, reporting visibility, and consistency Leadership team that actually wants a partner, not just a scorekeeper What you’ll own Full oversight of accounting + financial reporting across multiple entities Month-end close and financial statement accuracy Cost accounting, inventory, and manufacturing reporting Supporting leadership with visibility into performance + key decisions Tightening up processes, controls, and ERP usage (Business Central) What matters most Prior Controller experience in manufacturing Strong cost accounting background (this is big for them) Comfortable stepping into change / ambiguity (PE environment helps) Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central The details 3–6 month engagement Immediate start PE-backed environment with real exposure to leadership Opportunity to make a visible impact quickly If you’ve done this kind of work before, you know these projects can either be a mess… or a really fun challenge.
